Rakuten Ebates is an online service that offers you cash back for your purchases. There are options for both in store and online shopping trips. The best part is that they partner with stores you already shop at! So no need to worry about spending more unnecessarily for things you don’t want.

How Rakuten Ebates works

You simply go into the app, find the store you want to shop at, and start a shopping trip. Not only will you receive cash back for your purchases, but the app will also show you current deals and coupon codes at that store. This way they’re saving you money AND earning money. Win-win-win!

This also works on a computer. You can go to the website and be redirected directly to the store’s site. Or you can install the add-on and be notified of potential savings when you visit sites.

In both methods you complete your shopping trip as usual. Then, once the order is placed it’s sent to Rakuten and they will evaluate how much cash back your trip earned. This can take a couple days but is usually pretty fast.

When will I be paid?

By using my Rakuten Ebates link, you can earn $10 for your first purchase immediately! Thereafter, there will be a payout schedule that shows when you will get the money, assuming you meet the minimum payout balance of $5. Payout is quarterly, in February, May, August, and November.
