Labels for School: Kids Need and The Best Moms Love

Whether you’re starting a new daycare program or sending your little one off to school, a good labeling system is a must. From lunch boxes to clothes to bottles, there are many reasons you may want personalized labels for your child. Your top pick should be a label making system that has clear, legible, and long lasting name labels. Waterproof is a bonus!

Items you can label:

  • Lunch boxes
  • Backpacks
  • Bottles / Water Bottles
  • Folders
  • Notebooks
  • Clothing
  • Writing utensils
  • Whatever you want!

When my son was going to preschool and I packed him reheat items, they would place the entire lunchbox in their refrigerator. It was imperative I had his name on the lunchbox, and usually the date as well. When your child is in a preschool or daycare program, they also usually have to have a spare set of clothes for accidents. I can’t tell you how many mix ups there were because part time kids shared cubbies. Labeling clothing is a great way to avoid confusion.

I suspect when he starts kindergarten, labeling will be even more important. With an actual supply list of things your child needs, labels for kids are a must. Label backpacks, clothing, pencil boxes, folders, water bottles, and anything else you could think of that a kid might lose or mix up.

Why Stop At Kids Labels

Don’t stop at name labels. If you purchase an affordable label maker, get your money’s worth by creating labels for anything. I’ve seen label makers used for anything from spices to plants to cords. This useful tool would also be great if you’re someone like me that does a lot of home projects that come with spare screws! When I got my standing desk and was working on my cable management, labels were a must!

What could you use a label maker for in your day to day life?
